Bad sequels

This Wright character (anyone I see on TV is automatically a "character" in my mind) seems to be such a raging egomaniac, absolutely destroying anything between him and more media attention. Like a worn-out movie franchise, everyone's sick of him, but he still won't go away.

What win?

She wins, marginally in a battleground state, and what's the first thing she does? Ask for money.

Bush leaves

He's out in January, and he's taking all his cronies with him. It's certainly cause to celebrate, but damn it, he's left a huge mess for the rest of us to clean up, it's going to have to be a short party.

Gong Bang

three degrees of separation: Gong, opening three seconds of "Jungle Boogie" by Kool and the Gang, afro-kung-fu master

John Stewart is incredulous

Looks like someone important did something ridiculously stupid in the news today.

I did a buttload of caricatures during the Pennsylvania debac--primary. Chris Matthews, as always, had a hard time using his indoor voice.

This piece is about a theme that interests me greatly: the dichotomy between what we think about and how we act. I suppose it's called repression in normal days. But everyone, EVERYONE, has been stuck somewhere they didn't want to be, were required to be, and wished they weren't. If you can't leave, at least your mind can.

Converse sells out 2

Another spin on Chuck Taylor selling out to Nike and the outsider/emo/punk buyer. On the punk's jacket is the closest I can come to the "Misfits" logo.

Greyhound Racing as I see it

Seriously, they do horrible things to dogs behind the race tracks. You'll hear the breeders say things like, "greyhounds like to run," and ,"wee treat our dogs humanely." Well, all dogs like to run. No dog likes to be forced to run in the blistering sun while wearing a muzzle (meaning it can't keep bugs and dust out of its nose.) And yes, I'm sure that the top racers are treated humanely. I'm more concerned with the dogs that don't perform well. The ones breeders cull from the pack the moment they start to slow down.
Dog racing is not culture. It is not heritage. It is animal abuse. Plain and simple.

Barack Obama: To Infinity and Beyond

Barack Obama has these two key words: change and hope. A very forward looking guy, he really is the candidate of the future. If he's not wearing his helmet as he blasts off into space, it's because he doesn't have very much experience with this kind of thing.

Hillary: Kill Bill

As I was drawing this, I noticed that Hillary really does have really huge, buggy, psycho-looking eyes. How better to portray her than as the Bride, always coming back from the dead, and intent on absolutely destroying anything in the way of her goal. This would make Barack Obama Bill Carradine.

McCain: 3 AM potty break

The big joke with John McCain is that he's really old, and that he falls asleep in Congress. He seems like he'd be much more comfortable lying in bed with his Rambo teddy, and the phone unplugged, just in case someone DOES call at 3 AM.

Big Tattoo Wines

This piece I am particularly proud of. This design will adorn a label for Big Tattoo wines. So if you see it on a bottle of Reisling, pick up a copy and mention to any of your art director friends that you think the label makes it taste extra delicious.

Happy 100th, Converse

There's a little history that goes along with this. Converse shoes turn 100 this year, and have decided to celebrate by selling ridiculously overpriced sneakers to the punks who now buy them.

Jazz monkeys

A bit I did for an advertising class. Apparently the actual wine is horrible.
